Neutron Scattering Study of the Phase Transition in Two-Dimensional Planar Ferromagnet K_2CuF_4

It has been reported that the phase transition in K.CuF. is essentially causedby the Kosterlitz-Thouless-type transition slightly modified by the tlu'ee-dimen-sional interaction. In order to check this, we have performed a neutron criticalscattering study over a wide range of temperature and q space. All of the observedcritical parameters including x, I. and 77 as well as the crossover in temperature andfield scales are consistent with the previous magnetic study.
