The magnetization of Fe-8.6at%Zr amorphous alloy prepared by melt quenching method was measured in magnetic fields up to about 150 kOe at temperatures ranging from 2 to 77 K. The magnetization curves indicate the hysteresis in the high-field region below 30K. The hysteresis is considered to be caused by slight movement of the freezing spin glass clusters which strongly couple with the ferromagnetic matrix. The formation of the spin glass clusters is examined by computer simulation on the assumption that an Fe atom having 12 nearest neighbor Fe atoms has a tendency to couple antiferromagnetically with the nearest neighbors and an Fe atom having at least 1 nearest neighbor Zr atom is ferromagnetic.
