MnHg. .Au,(,v$0.25) has a CsCl-type structure with the lattice parametera=3.28A for x=0.25 at rootn temperature. The magnetic stusceptibility exhibits ananomaly at about 180 K, where the lattice is distorted to an orthorhombic structurePmma with a=4.71, Z>=3.08 and c=4.SI A at 88 K. Eight nearest neighbors of eachatom prove to be almost equidistant even after the distortion.
