Magnetization measurements up to 143 k0e and susceptibility measurements havebeen carried out on a single crystal of hexagonal YI'eMn0.. This oxide exhibits a two-dimensional antiferromagnetic character, and shows spin-glass-like properties at lowtemperatures. The Weiss temperature obtained from high tenvperature paramagneticsusceptibility is -800 K, while the critical temperature where the thermoremanentmagnetization disappears is only 60 K. This result suggests that both the magneticfrtustration due to competing exchange interaction and the r;tndom charge distribulion of the Fe and Mn tons play important roles in this magutetism.two-dimensional antiferromagnet, magnetization, spin glass
