Alloying effect on the exciton reflection spectra has been stvndied for mixed K) .Rb.1 singlecrystals (O< x< l) at 10 K, The shoulderlike strvtcture of tl'xe n. : 1 exciton band, whicharises florn the exciton-phonon interaction, is kept well over the whole concentratton range. Onthe other hand, the zntrltiple LO-phonon sidebands of the n = 2 exciton are smeared out LlpO11alloying. These results reveal that the alloying effect is very sensitive to the spatial extension ofexcitons, Furthermore, free-exciton luminescence is observable even in the intermediate reguon ofx, indicating that the exciton is not localized by the potential fluctuations in K) .Rb.I crystals,
