The C band of Lit : Tl is considerably depressed. The ratio in area of the C bandto the A band of Lil: Tl is 2.8 which is smaller than those in Nal: Tl, Kl: Tl andRbl: Tl. Magnitude of splitting between the C and D bands of Lil: Tl is thelargest among these four phosphers. These resul'ts suggest that in LIT : Tl thereexists strong configuration interaction between two states corresponding to theC and D bands.
