Dispersion Curves near the 1s and 2s Exciton Resonances in RbI and KI Crystals

The dispersion of the refractive index has been studied near the 2s cxcitonresonance as well as the lv exciton resonance in thin Rbl and Kl single crystals at 1 1 Kby applying the Fabry-Perot interference method to them. The results are analyzedusing the polariton dispersion formula based on a two-oscillator model. The newfitting of dispersion curves results in revised values of the 1.sx exciton parameters. In ad-dition, the 2s exciton parameters can also be evaluated. These values of excitonparameters are shown to be in accordance with the data obtained from other experiments.
