Sound velocity and density uaae;tstrrernents have been made to investigate the thermodynazaaicproperties of the liquid Sn -Se systetta, The naolar volutme and adiabatic couaapressibility havebeen dedtrced as a function of ternperattrre and couauposition which show large negative deviationfrom the ideal behaviour. The results indicate that two kinds of chernical ordering, one arovrnd50at.% Se and the other around 66.7at.% Se, are forr?aed. The latter beconaes trnstable xvithraising tenaperattrre to cavrse apparently complex behaviour of the thernuodynatnic functions.
