An evolution process has been investigated for the angle-cleflective oscillation ofthe stripe pattern by changing suddenly an applied voltage across a thin layer ofnematic liquid crystal from a sub-threshold voltage to an above-threshold voltage. Anaveraged time course of the amplitude of the oscillation ancl its course fluctuationhave been obtained from data for the evolution processes repeated for an appliedvoltage. Anomalies in the course fluctuation have been found in an intermediate stageof the evolution process. Evolution processes for various applied voltages, also, havebeen investigated and every averaged time courses luave been found to be expressed bya scale function.
