Crystal Structures of Pb_2Sr_2Ycu_3O<8+δ>(δ=O and 1.67)

Crystal Structures of Pb.Sr.YCu,0..,5 (,>=o and 1.67) were analysed by X-rayRietveld method. The sample with i=I.67 obtained by an oxygen annealing has atetragonal lattice. The analysis has been made with the assumption that absorbed ox-ygen atoms occupied the sites in the oxygen deficient Cu layer. We used the spacegroup P4/ mmm. The analysis of the sample with J=0 obtained by a quenchingshows almost the same structure as the one presented previously. However, introduc-tion of slight monoclinic distortion was found to give much better fit to the observedprofile. The distance between the Cu and the Pb layers in the structure with (>= 1.67was found to be longer than that with J=0.crystal structure, oxide superconductor, X-ray Rietveld analysis
