The spin state of the isolated Mn" impurity in the antiferromagnetic phase ofCoCl.-2H.0 is studied by proton NMR. The o bserved two satellite lines at 1.7 K arerevealed to be due to the nearest neighboring protons to Mn" impurity having themoment of 5 7t. and 3 p.. On the time scale of proton NMR, Mn" moments are ob-served to take not the thermal averaged value but each S. value because of very longl " j' 2*re axatuon tumes o Mn spun.proton NMR, Mn" spin state, Mn" in COCl2=2H.0
