Nonmagnetic Impurity Effects on S=1/2 Heisenberg Ladder Cu_2(C_5H_<12>N_2)_2Cl_4

lVIagnetic meastrreuaaents have been performed to investigate nontnagnetic iraaptrrity effects ona Zn-doped ladder system (CLII-.ZI1.)2(C5H12N2)2Cl4. The pararnagnetic contribution in thesusceptibility X' of the Zn-doped systena incre?tses with incre?tsing x below the gap tezmpera-tture. The susceptibility obeys the Ctrrie law in the temperattrre range between 0.5 K and 2 K.However, at tenaperattmres below 0,5 K, 7y,'T drops with decreasing temperature, which sttggeststhe crossover in the Curie constant as predicted by Sigrist and Furusaki [J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. 65(1996) 2385]. Magnetization curves of' the Zn-doped systenta are compared with that of the ptrresystem. The impurity-induced spin behaves like a paramagnetic .5=l/2 spin and the spin-gapstate survives even in the Zn-doped systern with the content x trp to 0.117. These restrlts seemto originate frona the weak interladder interaction of the systeraa.
