The development of the short-range ordering in Mn(IICOO),.= 2(NH.)2C0 has beenobserved by the measurements of magnetic heat capacity and susceptibility. The ex-perimental results are well reproduced by the high-temperature series expansion forthe two-dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnet with the exchange constantJ/ k.= - 0.34 ; 0.02 K in the temperature region T >1.2 T5. (7'.,.; the Stanley-Kaplantemperature). The critical temperature 7'.=3.77'1-0.02K:1.1 T.. nearly coincideswith that of Mn(HCOO).?2F].0. It is suggested that the lccng-range ordering isresponsible for the small Ising-like anisotropy in the exchange interaction.
