A Novel Spectral Photoconductivity of the La-Cu-O Correlative with Superconductivity

An echo-like "Spectral Photoconductivity correlative with Superconductivity" hasbeen really observed also in the La.-Cu.-O, system at 4.2? 100 K as naively expectedfrom the results observed in the Y-Cu-O and Y-Ba-Cu-O systems by followingalmost similar experimental procedures. A novel spectral photoconductivity of theLa.-Cu.-O. even more prominently features the polarons anc[ excitons in the Cu.0-like phase in these oxygen-deficient systems. On the basis ol' these results togetherwith similar data reported before on the Y-Cu-0, Y-Ba-0u-O systems, we canreconfirm that "an ensemble of united polarons and excitons" must play substantialroles in the mechanisms of high-7'. superconductivity.
