Hall zaaobility p.? of' photocarriers in ])[11'(2 CtrO refined by floating zone melting (FZ) ztaethodhas been sttndied by adopting a pulsed techniqtre for photocondtrctivity ta?easurements betweenT = 25 K and 110 K. Dorninant photocarriers ttrrn out to be positive holes. Valtre of pg of holesincreases with decreasing T and reaches 8 x 10' Clll' V ' s ' at 25 K. Scattering rnechanisms ofphotocarriers are due to the higln-freqtrency LO-phonon, acotrstical phonon and netttral itaapurity. The experimental results on the teuaaperattrre dependence and the absolute valtre of #}I (T) clearlyindicate that a relatively wide valence band may exist in Cub, where large polarons are mobile.
