Thin foil specimens of /7-brass containixag Cu-46.35 at.%Zxa quem?c1ted from 973 Kare annealed at various temperatures between 403 K and 473 K for various times.Anti-phase domain boundaries (APBs) and x'oids are oloserved by transmission elec-iron microscopy. Almost all voids are in APBs and a fexx' ones are in the anti-phase do-mains (APDs). The diffusion coefficient of copper or zinc atoms in /7-brass estinaaledfrom the shrinkage rate of tlte voids in APDs D. and that estixnated frona theirshrinkage rate in APBs D. are given by D.=5exjo( -1.58eV/A'7') and D.=0.56 exp ( - 1.29 eV /kT') (cm'/ s), respectively.
