Anomalous Electron-LO Phonon Interaction in Cyclotron Resonance of Polarons in the Mixed AgCl_xBr_<1-x> System

In contrast with monotonous increase expected on the basis of virtual crystal ap-proximation, anomalous reduction of electron-[0 phonon interaction has been ob-served in cyclotron resonance experiments on the photoexcited electrons in the AgCl..Br. . (0<,v30.21) mixed crystals at T=4.2 K and /=35 GHz with increasing x. Forthe first time, we have experimentally determined the values of Fr6hlich coupling con-slant cx in mixed crystals. Because there exist two LO-phonon modes in the AgBr-richregion, the reduction of electron-[0 jchonon interaction can not be explained by thevirtual crystal approximation where disorders are simply averaged, and invokes theneed of further theoretical studies.
