Anomalous Critical Behavior of Amorphous Fe_<100-x>Zr_x Ferromagnets (x=8 and 10)

The critical behavior of magnetic phase transition in amorphous Fe,.Zr.and Fe,.Zr.. ferromagnets has been studied by static magnetization measure-ment. The ma;etization data taken in the critical reuion >'ield the followinnvalues for the critical exronents, resrectivelv: /?=0.620f0.003, >'=1.92:l:0.02,J=5.8280.06 for FC92ZI8; and /j=0.560-j.0.003, >'=1.87i0.02, J:4.84f0.06for Fe,.Zr... These values deviate substantially from those derived for a threedimmensional homogeneous Ileisenberg ferromagnet. The results, together withother anomalous magnetic phenomena, have been discussed as originating from anextremely wide distribution of exchange integrals. In particular, it has been sug-gested that the spin-glass like behavior can be ascribed to the thermally activatedmagnetization process of the cluster-spin glass.
