Magnetic Properties of Mn_<1-x>Fe_xAlGe with 0≦x≦0.10 : No Localized Magnetic Moment in Fe Atom

Magnetic, X-ray and the M6ssbauer effect measurements have been made onMn.=.Fe,A]Ge compounds for 0<.v<0.10. All of the compounds were singlephase and chemicallv ordered intermetallic comrounds with CuzSb tvre structure.Over the whole concentration range, the Fe atoms were located at two differentcrystallographic sites and there was no magnetic moment either at site I and siteII, The M6ssbauer spectra did not show the Goldanskii-Karyagin effect in spiteof having two dimensional exchange interaction in MnA1Ge. The results arediscussed in relation to the previous investigation.
