Results are rresented of X ra>', masnetic and the M6ssbauer effect measure-ments on cold worked PdzMnSn which shows a remarkable reduction in magn<,tization, Most of the reduced maaetization is recovered when the strain isreleased by annealing of the specimen at temperatures below 400'C, where noappreciable recovery of the chemical order takes place. This fact means that thereduction in magnetization is related to the severely stressed state rather than tothe atomic order.
