Magnetic Properties and Magnetic Annealing Effect in Ni_<0.8>Co_<0.2>Fe_<2-x>V_xO_4 Ferrite

The uniaxial anisotropy induced by magnetic annealing in the polycrystalline Ni_<0.8>Co_<0.2>Fe_<2-x>V_xO_4 ferrite was studied. Static magnetic properties and ^<57>Fe Mossbauer spectra of the ferrite were studied also and the valence states of cations and the ionic distribution in the ferrite were determined. Various possible explanations for the observed remarkable dependence of the induced anisotropy on vanadium content are discussed, and it is concluded that the decrease of the Curie temperature is the main cause of it.
