Magnetic measurements h;tve been made for the pseuclobinary V(fr. .Pt.).alloys (0<,v<0.85) witFu the Cu3Au-type structure. Ferrornagnetism occttrs inthis system in the range of 0.45<x<0.95. l'he spontatteous magnetizationincreases with increasing x for 0.45<,r<0.73, and then dect'eases with increasingx after passing through a maximuna value (about 0.34 p./V) at about x =O.73.Ferromagnetism of this systetn m.ay be caused by the ferroxaagnetic alignment ofthe localized magnetic mornettts of V atom.s.
