Optical Absorption Spectrum of a D^- Centre in Strong Magnetic Filds

The optical absorption spectrum of a D ton in strong magnetic fields isinvestigated with use of simple variational wave functions. The selection rule forthe dipole transitions with three polarization vectors, e3 and e., is derived. Thentunerical calculation is made for the absorption spectrum from the spin singletD state and that from the spin triplet D - state, and the characteristic featureof each spectrum is discussed.
