Types of tra?tsitioxa frona the clisor-dex'ed )chase to various ordered phases are also deterxami>ced by the Laucdau-Ljfslaitz theory. Tlae preseac t theory predicts tlae followjtcg three cases as possibletrartsitioxts: (i) disordered phaseea structure with a two-layer )veriod (S2)=astructure with a four-Iaver tveriod (S4); (ij) disordered uc]tase=another structturewith a two-layer period (S2')<->S4; a?td (iii) disordered phaseeS4, where thetrauasjtio?as iut case (i) are of seco?vd order while those i?t cases (ii) auad (iii) are offirst ot'cler.
