Monojets and Production of a New Heavy Particle : Particles and Fields

Supposing that some of the observed monojet events are anomalous, we explore a model, which is consistent with the available data, for production of a heavy particle. In spite of large ambiguities, the present experimental constaints are restrictive enough to discriminate various models. It is pointed out that the heavy particle is most likely to be an additional U(1) gauge boson.
