Various kinds of Cbz-α-dehydroglutamine derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of Cbz-α-dehydroglutamic acids with a few primary amines, including L-α-amino acid ester, and subsequently transformed to <I>N</I>-carboxy-α-dehydroglutamine anhydride and several <I>Δ</I><SUP>1</SUP>-dehydroglutaminyldipeptides.
