Formation of Anthraquinones, Hydroanthracene and Flavonoid by the Callus Culture of Cassia torosa

The callus culture induced from the seedlings of Cassia torosa was established, from which in addition to the main pigment, germichrysone (2), three anthraquinones, a xanthone and a flavonol, i. e. chrysophanol (3), emodin (4), islandicin (5), pinselin (6) and quercetin (7), were isolated.
