The absolute stereostructure of (1R, 10R)-epoxy-(-)-1,10-dihydrocurdione (1), a new epoxygermacranoid isolated from an essential oil of the air-dried rhizoma of Curcuma wenyujin, was determined on the basis of its spectroscopic and X-ray analysis data and also of the result of the transformation from curdione (2).
