Enhanced Pholochromism in the Hybrid Film of Tungstic Acid and Polyethylene Glycol

The mixing of polyethylene glycol (PEG) with tungstic acid induced drastic enhancement of the photochromism aswell as better film formation. The photochromic sensitivity to UV light increased with the amount of PEG added. Inaddition, the coloration by the irradiation of UV light in the hybrid films faded with heating, but was recovered by there-exposure of the lights.
