微生物による炭化水素よりの1-phenazinecarboxylic acidおよびoxychlororaphineの生成

In the course of the isolation of hydrocarbon-utilizing microorganisms, a strain was found which produced a yellow pigment and a green crystalline pigment in a culture broth containing n-paraffins as the sole carbon source. These pigments were isolated from the culture broth and were identified as 1-phenazinecarboxylic acid and oxychlororaphine, respectively, from their chemical and physical properties. This pigment-forming microorganism showed the general characteristics of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The cultural conditions favorable for pigment production were examined. n-Paraffin C_<12>-C_<18> was suitable as a carbon source, and urea was favorable as a nitrogen source. Optimum temperatures was 27℃. Good results were obtained when the culture was carried out with an initial pH of 5.5. The maximum yields of 1-phenazinecarboxylic acid and oxychlororaphine were 1600 mg/l and 850 mg/l.
