Cyclotron Resonance in Extremely Low Carrier-Density System of Yb_4As_3

We report on tlue cyclotron resonance (CR) uaueasvxreunents perforxned on Yb,)As3 vxsing thecavity perturbation (TE,101 and TB1O2) and sinaple transznission techniqttes xvithout a cavity f'ortnicrowaves (16 -110 GHz) at 22 >T >0.55 K and H< 10 T. CR and electron spin resonartace(ESR) have identified each other by the systeunatic cornparison of the data o1.ctained f'rorn thethree different measurement techniques perforraaed. The CR that is syrnmetric and stronglytemperattrre-dependent has a Cl l112lSS of O.72mg, xvhile the ESR which is rather antisyrnrnetricand very weakly tenaperattmre-dependent, has g : 2.04. The cotnparison of the CR lIl2LSS withthe recent band strttcttrre calculations based on the LAPW ?nethod conclvtdes tlaat the observedCl is catrsed by the light 4p-holes of As ions centered at the F point, the band rnass of which iscalctrlated to be abotrt O.7mg. We disctrss the ternperature dependence of' tlae electron relaxationtime obtained by the linewidth analysis perforumed for the Cl.
