Parametric Absorption of Lower Hybrid Wave in the Boundary Plasma of JFT-2 Tokamak

Power absorption rate of lower hybrid wave by it>ns has been estimated by tlaeconvection, conduction loss and the claarge exchangn: loss both in the main plasmaregion and in the boundary region of a circular tokamak. It is shown that when aneffective ion heating is performed in the naain plas?na region the rf power is notdissipated in the boundary region through the parametric decay instabilities.The rate of the dissipated rf power in the bouuadary region saturate at relativelylow power level and does zaot give the fatal effect on the ion heating in the mainregion if we select an appropriate plasma parameters.
