Radial Distribution of the Plasma Current Driven by Lower-Hybrid Waves in the JFT-2M Tokamak

Temporal and spatial evolution of the soft X-ray energy spectra on the JFT-2Mtokamak during the lower-hybrid current drive (LHCD) has been measured. Thephoton emissions radiated from the resonant electrons increase with the driven current in the LHCD. The radial profile of the photon emissions indicates that the RFdriven current channel shifts from inside to outside in plasma column during the RFpulse.
