Evidence for Fluorine Distortion in KCdF_3 Doped with Mn^<2+> Derived from Ligand Fluorine ENDOR Measurement

The ligand fluorine ENDOR spectrum in perovslcite-fluoride KCdF, doped withMn" have been measured at 4.2 K using 34 GHz EPR spectrometer. The angulardependence of the spectrum evidently shows that the fluorine octahedra are distortedfrom the regular positions with tilting angles of about 6, 10 and 10 degrees around the[001], [1003 and [0104 axes in the pseudo cubic phase of the crystal and these componentsreflect the domain structure.
