Anisotropy Study of the Spin-Lattice Relaxation Rates at the Cu(1)Chain Sites of YBa_2Cu_3O_7 and YBa_2Cu_4O_8

• Anisotropies of the spin-lattice relaxation rates (l/T)) at the Curl) sites of' YB2L2CLl307 andYBl2CL14O8 were examined trsing the NIVIR/NQR methods. The anisotropy data enabled usto infer approxutnate q-dependences and anisotropies of the forna factors (F.(q,), cx = a, b, c) atCurly. We found that the anisotropies in YBazCtra0w are explainable only in terms of the hy-perfine fields within a single chain, while these hyperfine fields do not accotrnt for anisotropies inYB82CL14O8. As a possible explanation for the situation in YBazCu,tOs, effects of the transferredhyperfine fields frona the other chain of the dotrble Cu-0 chains are discussed.
