Novel Phase Diagram of Superconductor Na_xCoO_2・yH_2O in 75% Relative Humidity(Condensed Matter : Electronic Structure, Electrical, Magnetic and Optical Properties)

We succeeded in synthesizing powder samples of bilayer hydrate sodium cobalt oxide superconductors Na_xCoO_2・yH_2O with T_c=0-4.6 K by systematically changing the duration in a 75% relative humidity atmosphere after intercalation of water molecules. From magnetic measurements, we found that a sample kept for one day in the atmosphere does not show any superconductivity down to 1.8 K, and that samples kept for 2-7 days show superconductivity, in which T_c increases up to 4.6 K with increasing duration. T_c and the superconducting volume fraction are almost invariant between 7-day and 1-month durations. The ^<59>Co nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) spectra indicate a systematic change in the local charge distribution on the CoO_2 plane with a change in duration.
