Ferroelectric phase transition in DLP crystals is studied on the basis of the crystalstructure determined at various temperatures above and below the ph;tse transitiontemperature. Temperature variation of the atomic order parameter of n?ethyl groupsis determined. In contrast to the disordered character in the CH, grotups, the ionicatoms; Pb, Ca and 0, which bear the major part of spontaneous polarization, exhibitno dusordered character in both phases. It is pointed out that the disordering in theCH. groups is by no means strongly correlated with motions of ionic atoms in view ofquite a special atomic arrangement of ])LP. We discuss that this weak coupling between two structural parts leads to the well known peculiar nature of the DSP-typecrystals.Ca.Pb(C.11,CO.)., crystal structure, phase transition
