Elastic Anomaly Associated with Dipole Freezing of Rb_<1-x>[N (H_<1-y>D_y)_4]_x (H_<1-y>D_y)_2PO_4 Mixed Crystals

Elastic stiffness constants ,s'3.and ,s'p of Rbj ,[N(H.-,D,).1,(H. ,D,).P04 (,X'=0.5;y=0, 0,5, 0.7, 1.0) were determined between 4.2 K and 350 K. Pronounced effects ofdeuteration were found in the temperature dependences of s'.5 and s:. Deviationfrom the elastic Curie-Weiss law of (.sxf. -.ss5)-' vs temperature was found below theonset temperature T., as in the case of the dielectric one. The temperature T. in-creases with the increase of deuteration rate from l20K (.y=0) to 220K (.)z=l.0).Unlike the case of the pure crystals of the KDP family, a slight anomaly of .s'p was ob-served between T. and the Vogel-Fulcher temperature T..
