Pressure effect on the srontaneous volume magnetostriction a. of Fe-Ni andFe -Pt Invar allovs is studied bv measurins the r>ressure dependence of latticeconstants usins X-rav diffraction technicuue. The rressure derivative of co. anathe maxnetic contribution to the comr>ressibilitv in Fe -Ni Invar alloy near o Kare found to be Iarzel>' different from those in Be-Pt Invar alloy. The differencesare interrreted r>henomenolosicall>' irx terms of the pressure dependence of r.and M. and suggested to relate with the stability of magnetic moment at lowtemperature.
