The microscopic theory proposed by Kurihara et al. on the elastic anomaliesof KzPt(CN)+Bro.s-3Hz0 (KCP) was arr>Tied to the ferroelastic nhase transitionof LiNH:C+H:Do' H20 (LAT). Rer>lacinu the role of the water molecule in KCPby that of the ammonium ion, the anomalous temperature dependence of theelastic constant C55 in LAT above T. was well explained by the theory. Theanomalies of the ultrasonic absorption at 5 5 and the specific heat near T. were alsoexamined on the basis of the theory. It was found that these experimental resultscould be explained satisfactorily by choosing three parameters in the theory asF:50 K, 2:1.9 and c's 5 :l0.6xl0" dyn/cm'.
