ESR Study of the Ferroelectric Phase Transition in CsH_2PO_4

Two kinds of As0] radicals were fouztd in the electron spin resonance (ESR)srectra of >'-irradiated CSH2P04 includinn a small amount of As0+ -. The split..ting of the spectral line below T. represents a rotation of As03 - radical and thetentperature dependence is represented by the formula A(T.-7')' wit}t /?=0.32.]-0.05 in tlae range from T.-5' to T.-0.7'. Meanwhile from the analysis of the ESRspectra of CsH.P0. doped with Cr", it was found that the Cr" i<cn replacedCs" ionand two protons near the Cs" site were vacant. Anomalous cl?ange of thebreadth of the spectral line which was related with the slowing doxvn of spin-lattice relaxation time was observed around T.. The correlation time of themagnetic fluctuation was estimated to be about 1.7 x 10-" sec at T.-3.2'.
