Antiferroelectricity Observed in the Mixed Crystal of LAT and LTT

Dielectric and elastic properties of the mixed crystals, Li(NH3)j -,Tl.C.H406 'H.0, were investigated for various content of Tl" ion. For the mixed crystalwith ,X'=0.5, an antiferroelectric hysteresis loop was observed at liquid heliumtemperature when the electric field was applied along the o-axis. The role of NH,jton or Tl" ton on the phase transition of these substances is discussed accordingto the results.
