MULTI feedback therapy was conducted on 21 patients with psychosomatic disorder using three indices of frontal is muscle EMG, trapezius muscle EMG, and skin temperature. An effective rate of 76.2% exceeding the level of slightly effective was obtained. It was confirmed even in multi feedback therapy that there is a correlation in the change of EMG and skin temperature. In MULTI feedback, the patient can use the index which can be most readily controlled or the index which best fits his prevailing physiological and psychological state and even when he fails to control an index, he can change or select another index, thus reducing patient burden and permitting continued motivation toward biofeedback therapy. This clinical beneficial point of MULTI feedback was confirmed in this study.
