• From the roots of Bupleurum kunmingense, nine new saponins, named S26〜S29, S31〜S34 and S36, were isolated and their structures were determined based on chemical and NMR spectroscopic analysis as follows: S26, 3",4"-di-O-acetylsaikosaponin-d; S27, 3",4"-di-O-acet-ylsaikosaponin-b_4; S28, 3",6"-di-O-acetylsaikosaponin-d; S29, 3",4"-di-O-acetylsaikosaponin-a; S31, 3",6"-di-O-acetylsaikosaponin-a; S32, 2",3"-di-O-acetylsaikosaponin-a; S33, 4",6"-di-O-acetylsaikosaponin-d; S34, 3"-O-acetylsaikosaponin-e; and S36, 2",3 "-di-O-acetylsaikosaponin-d.
