From leaves of Panax japonicus C.A. MEYYR, ginsenoside-F_1^<7)> and three new dammarane type saponins named chikusetsusaponins-L_5 (I), -L_<10> (II) and -L_<9a> (III) were isolated. The structures of I, II and III were elucidated mainly by mass, ^<13>C-nuclear magnetic resonance and ^1H-nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy including partially relaxed Fourier transform method.
