Optical Spectra of Core Electrons in Metals with an Incomplete Shell. : II. Numerical Calculations of Overall Line Shapes

Overall line shapes of the optical absorption and emission spectra associated with core electrons in metals with an incomplete shell (denoted by the d state) are calculated numerically with the use of the model system proposed in the preceding paper. The calculations of the absorption spectra are made by two different methods, i. e., The Green's function method (method 1) and the method of exactly solving one-electron states for a system with finite volume (method 2). The behavior of the spectra is investigaed by varying the strength of the s-d mixing interaction, the location of the d level and so on. The optical emission spectra are calculated by the method 2.
