The magnetic susceptibility of liquid Na-Sn alloys has been measured as afunction of temperature and concentration. The curve of susceptibility isothermexhibits a distinct minimum around the composition of Na.Sn3 near the liquidustemperature. At the same composition, the remarkable temperature dependencehas also been observed, and the minimum point in the susceptibility isothermshifts from Na.Sn3 to NaSn at higher temperatures. This large temperaturevariation has been explained in terms of the partial dissociation of the compound-forming liquid alloy.
