The optical and X-ray examinations of CsHSeO, were made at temperaturesabove and below the 128'C trarxsition (7'.). It is found that CsHSe0. is ferroelasticwith a large spontaneous shear strain, x'.=7.9 x 10-', at room temperature andbecomes paraelastic above T.
