The destruction of magnetic surfaces in the vicinity of a separatrix of a stellara-for and a torsatron is analvzed. Unr>erturbed mannetic stzrfaces formed bv astraight helical current and a aaniform magnetic field are assttmed. pestruction ofmagnetic surfaces is attribut<:d to perturbations of magnetic fields, which areassumed to be brought from toroidal effects of magnetic fields or discrete structureof magnetic coils, respectively. Analysis is based on "Stochasticity" and a spreadof a stochastic laycr in the vicinity of the separatrix is calculated.
