Pressure Study on Electrical and Magnetic Properties of CeMg

Measurements of pressure dependences of electrical resistivity p up to 29 kbar andmagnetization up to 10 kbar have been made for Cc:Mg and LaMg. The N8el tempera-Lure T. decreases linearly at a rate of - 0.16 K kbar ' up to 10 kbar and then tends tosaturate at higher pressures. The magnetic susceptibility 7 at 4.2 K increases withpressure. Pressure effects on p, T. and X are briefly discussed with recent theories ofKondo system. Pressure-induced structural phase transition is not found in CeMgand LaMg.
